Advanced Electromagnetic Radiation: IBE 312
IBE 312 Advanced Electromagnetic Radiation is held every other calendar year. The next session will be scheduled for early December 2014
This advanced seminar puts greater emphasis on hands-on solutions, best practices, and emerging issues such as wireless communication and power quality. The proper identification and mitigation of issues related to low frequency and high frequency electromagnetic issues will be fully addressed, specifically regarding those frequencies in the non-ionizing radiation band, including the power frequency and communications band.
Industry-standard Measurements Techniques are explored for the detection of EME sources and their mitigation. Mitigation techniques will be examined for AC Magnetic Fields, AC Electric Fields, and Radio Frequency. Daily classroom experiences will feature comprehensive hands-on learning with the latest lab equipment.
Enrollment is open only to students who have successfully completed IBE 212, Electromagnetics (exceptions will be made for candidates with professional real-world experience). This seminar conveys 40 Continuing Education Credits (CEUs), accepted by AIA, ACAC, and InterNACHI, for which the successful completion of a comprehensive written exam will be required.
