Neil E. Matthes received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Duck Creek Engineering, Inc. is an electrical consulting and contracting firm involved with the design, installation and continued operation of electrical equipment and systems. Included is training of electricians and technicians, investigations into stray voltage, inspection of electrical installations and procedures for continual operation of facilities.
Mr. Matthes is past member on the Wisconsin Rural Energy Management Council (REMC) and adviser to the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP).
Previously Mr. Matthes held positions as President of Duck Creek Electric, Inc., Manager of Electrical Maintenance at Thiem Corp., Milwaukee, Associate Professor at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, Milwaukee and Electrical Apprenticeship instructor at Waukesha County Technical College.
Mr. Matthes’ main interest is in applied electrical engineering and he has had extensive experience in commercial, industrial and agricultural electrical systems. He also designs and builds solar electric systems and solar powered vehicles.
Mr. Matthes is a registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin, Life Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Inspector member of the International Associations of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI), Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers (WSPE), Retired-International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI), Retired-Wisconsin State Firefighters Association (WSFFA), Licensed Master Electrician – Wisconsin, Certified Commercial Electrical Inspector – Wisconsin, Licensed Master A Electrician – Minnesota, Retired Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) – Wisconsin, Certified Instructor of Solar Electric.
